HISTORY OVERVIEW:
bryan matthew toana was born in san fransico twenty-two years ago to a happily married couple, chris and angela toana. chris had just started his own firm at the time that bryan was born, and angela was running her own flower shop just before she was pregnant. so, bryan has always lived in a rich household. he got everything a little boy his age would want. all the great toys, and expensive video games. all his friends were jealous of him because of all the things he always had, but he couldn't ever remember his parents really spending time with him. then, when his mother left when he was only five, it took a big tole on his life.
bryan always felt as if his mother didn't love him. even though his dad was always busy at work, he always seemed to remind bryan every now and then how much he loved his boy. his mother, however, he could never remember a time she actually said 'i love you' to his face. it was always implied, but never expressed. bryan still deals with issues about his mom, and still considers his father as his only true parent. after his mom left, bryan's dad took over the rule of both mom and dad, even with his busy work schedule. bryan grew up around law. his father preached to him about becoming a lawyer, and passing his firm down to bryan when he graduated law school. even though bryan's never been all that into criminal justice, he can't let his father down.
he grew up in san fransico all his life, and was always a pretty good kid when it came to school. he got into a couple big fights here, and there at school. older jocks trying to pick on him, and his friends. but bryan never stood for shit talking. he'd knock that person flat on their ass before he'd let them disrespect, or think he was afraid of them. bryan had always been the tough one, even as a little kid. he met aurora at a young age, practically grew up with her his whole life. she had always been one of those dream girls in his eyes. the girl you knew you'd never have a chance with, but would beg just for one date with her. even though he never let his feelings show in front of her. too scared that she would take it the wrong way, and they'd stop being friends. and, he'd rather keep her as a friend than loose her completely. so, sadly, he's been in the friend zone for years now, and doesn't think he'll ever get out of it.
he trys to let his studies, and college life take over his wants for aurora, but most of the time it doesn't help one bit. [/ul]

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Coffee sounded so good to Ryder when he woke up that morning. He wasn't sure of why, but lately that's all he could get himself to drink. Coffee, and Monster. Sometimes he'd add a little whiskey to his coffee or monster, but it just depended on his mood. And since it was still early in the morning, he figured he'd skip the whiskey breakfast for once. Although that didn't stop him from lighting up a cigarette first thing after he slid on his boots. He took a long drag off the cig as he stepped out into the world, sighing as he let the smoke escape his lungs slowly, grateful for the nicotine buzz he felt off the cancer stick. That's what he always jokingly called them, Ryder never seemed to worry about his health much. As long as he looked good on the outside, the inside didn't matter as much. Then again, that was just Ryder's ways. He was always selfish when it came to his looks.
He slid in his lime green Camero he had gotten just last year as an early christmas present from his dear old man. It was perfect for him, just the right color and feel. Something that would get him noticed. Ryder didn't really know why it was so important for him to be the center of attention. He always wanted people to listen to what he had to say, and care about what he wanted. He was selfish, point blank. He craved any attention, good & bad. Especially from the ladies. Even though he was with Roxanne, he still lurked around. He didn't see anything wrong with him venturing out when things got boring, or she got clingy. The only girl he wanted to be around him twenty-four/seven was the one girl that wouldn't even look him in the face. Ryder sighed as he rolled down his window, flicking the cigarette's ashes before he took another drag. Leigh..damn it. That was all he ever thought about anymore was her. He didn't know what the hell his problem was for leaving her. He knew now that he was a jackass...in only that moment, of course. He should've never cheated on her, or left her for Roxy. Leigh was the only girl that he ever really loved, and it killed him everyday knowing that he couldn't have her. Why did she have to hate him? Why couldn't she forgive him again like before? He just didn't get it.
No girl had ever left him before. It was usually him that ended things, using the same lame excuses each and every time. "I'm just not ready to be in a committed relationship". He used that line everytime, and even though it got him a couple slaps in the face before, it always did the trick. But, Leigh just giving up on him, and not even fighting for him was just nawing at Ryder's ego, and heart. He pulled into the parking lot of the little coffee shop he went to all the time, putting his cig out in his car ashtray before stepping out. He pushed the door open, smelling the coffee in the air, and smiling. He didn't even pay attention to the girl turning around in front of him. He just kept walking, until he felt hot coffee all down the front of his stomach and chest, instantly growling at the sight. "What the..." his words were caught short though when he looked up and he saw who the girl was. Oh shit he thought as he looked down at his shirt, then looked back up at her. "Leigh.." it was the only thing he could get out.
